Class Description:

Draw a fantasy space of your dreams based on different architectural styles as a jumping off point for your journal headers - mixing drawn calligraphic hands, flourishes, and other elements. 

We’ll be drawing all elements in our sketchbooks (made or purchased) so make sure the book pages you’re using can handle the small amount of watercolor we’ll be using to colorize our drawings. 

Clouds in the sky become a giant flourished day of the week, foreground horizon line becomes the month and year…. doors of your building are numerals of the month, and scallops and other decorative elements connect your drawing to your deeper purpose. 

Anything you draw in your journal can be done as a separate piece for yourself, clients, commissions, and gifts!

SUPPLY LIST 

A journal you have made or purchased that will take the coloring technique of your choosing well. 

Binder Clips (to keep your journal spreads open as you work)

Drawing Pencil

Mechanical Pencil

Erasers (Tombo MONO Zero, 2 kneaded, and 1 white)

Ruler

Coloring Supplies of your choosing: watercolors, watercolor pencils, colored pencils

Water container

Small watercolor brush (my fave is a Pentel Aquash size small)

Towel
